A guided 2-hour walking and eating tour with an insider guide. You can sample authentic Roman pizza, Suppli and Crocchette in the historical neighborhood renowned for its local scene.
After meeting your guide in central Rome, you will begin a 2-hour excursion through the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Monti neighborhoods in Rome, some of the oldest districts in the city. Hip and happening, this section of Rome is loaded with famous sites and family owned “trattorias”. Your guide will narrate the journey as you encounter various historic sites and step into a typical, local pizzeria and gelateria to sample a palate tempting fare made with generations of love and proud heritage.

This small group tour (with no more than 13 attendees) ensures you’ll receive personalized attention. Your guide will take you to a pizza by slice restaurant to enjoy the local atmosphere where you will eat the Suppli and Crocchette (Roman-style Stuffed Rice and Potato Balls) accompanied by a chinotto or gassosa (traditional Roman beverages). The tour will continue through the Monti discrict at one of the best gelaterias.

This food tour not only gives you a taste of Rome’s traditional cuisine, it also provides an introduction to Rome’s rich cultural history with a licensed tour guide. Starting in the Monti area, you’ll see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Trajan’s Market, the first food and shopping center in the world.
